Genshin Impact Yaoyao will possibly be the next playable Dendro character

If you’ve been following the famous action role-playing video game Genshin Impact (and if you are a gamer, you probably are), you know that up till now, there are no Dendro characters (in the game, Dendro is one of the seven elements) in the game.

In fact, two of the Dendro characters, Baizhu and Kusanali are the only Dendro characters that have been seen or mentioned in the game, Baizhu being introduced in the quest ‘Guizhong,’ and Kusanali being introduced in Chapter I.

Well, all that is about to change, because the new Genshin leak has come to light, telling us what the first playable Dendro character will look like.

Let’s take a look at the latest Genshin leak.

Genshin Impact Yaoyao - First Playable Dendro Character

According to the Genshin leak, the first playable character is rumored to be Yaoyao. The Genshin Impact Yaoyao was the junior discipline of Xiangling under the same master chef. She became an assistant for Ganyu since then though. In the game, Yaoyao is a 4-star character.

Yaoyao was first revealed in an official Genshin Impact artwork, alongside Qiqi, the Cryo playable zombie character. After that, there hasn’t been a lot of information about Yaoyao. That is, until now. This Genshin Yaoyao leak sheds light on what the first Dendro character is going to be.

Although many of Genshin Impact gamers are already pretty hyped because of the release of Shenhe, Arataki Itto, and Yunjin, all of whom are either recent releases or will be released soon, the Yaoyao leak will still send a shudder of excitement through all the gamers because this is going to be the first playable Dendro character ever on Genshin Impact.

There have been a lot of posts on social media (Twitter mainly) about the Genshin leak. Notably, Lumie, a very well-known Genshin Impact leaker, posted a thread on Twitter about the Yaoyao leak, showing Genshin Impact's Yaoyao from different angles and a brief video of the character running about.

The caption above the video also stated that ‘From all of the Closed Beta 1 datamined characters, most of them have been or will be released soon…’

The caption of the reference images told players that the Yaoyao release date is unknown and that it is likely that when the character is released, Chasm, a location in the game (an area located to the west of Lisha, Liyue, and the primary source of ores in the nation), will be released alongside it.

The video posted by Lumie does not show gamers either the Yaoyao Elemental Skill (a Talent in the game that does not require Energy to use) or Yaoyao Elemental Burst (a Talent in the game that does require Energy to use and is more powerful than the Elemental Skill). Players will just have to wait for Yaoyao to release to find out.

It is believed that Yaoyao will be released in the Genshin Impact 2.5 update, which will be released in early 2022 or probably after the 2.5 update as Chasm has been replaced by Enkanomiya for the 2.4 update.

Whatever the case may be, with this Genshin Yaoyao leak, we know that when this Dendro character actually releases, it will take Genshin Impact to the next level!
