As the game celebrated its twenty-sixth anniversary, fans of the franchise were treated to a flurry of key announcements in the previous 'Pokemon Presents.'
Along with announcements like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Pokemon Legends: Arceus Daybreak update, Niantic also gave info on Pokemon Unite, Pokemon Masters EX, and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.
The event also featured information about the ongoing Pokemon season, with the revelation that players will receive the Pokemon Go Season of Alola.
Since its launch in 2016, Niantic and The Pokemon Company have steadily added new species to Pokemon GO, and at the event, Niantic formally announced that the Season of Alola will bring even more Alolan Pokemon to the game.

Season of Alola in Pokemon Go began with the Special Research Mission 'A Melemele Adventure,' on March 1 and gained traction with the recently completed, the Festival of Colors event.
Now as revealed in the beginning, next up we have the Pokemon Go Lush Jungle event, with the continuously running Go Battle League.
Trainers will get to see the introduction of three new Pokemon along with some new Wild Encounters, Raids, Field Research Tasks, and other features.

The Pokemon Go Lush Jungle event will start on Tuesday, 22nd of March 2022, at 10 AM and will end on Tuesday, 29th of March 2022, at 8 PM local time.
Players will get to encounter a series of Pokémon in the wild to celebrate the start of the new event.
Pokemon Go Lush Jungle event - Pokemon debuts
The Pokemon debuting with the Pokemon Go Lush Jungle event are:
- Fomantis
- Lurantis
- Tapu Lele
Fomantis can be found in the wild and can be evolved into Lurantis. Tapu Lele, on the other hand, will only appear in Five-Star Raids. It's not unexpected, given that it's a Legendary Pokemon.

Pokemon Go Lush Jungle Weekend park spotlight - Cottonee
From Saturday, March 26, 2022, 10:00 a.m. until Sunday, March 27, 2022, 8:00 p.m. local time, Trainers can join others for a spotlight on the Lush Jungle Park!
Players will be able to encounter Cottonee more commonly in parks on Saturday, March 26, 2022, and Sunday, March 27, 2022, and if lucky, you might get to see a Shiny Cottonee as well.

It will also introduce new Timed Research Tasks that revolve around catching Grass-type Pokemon.

At the start of the Lush Jungle event, the Season of Alola's second Special Research tale will be released!
These Special Research lines will be accessible for collection on specific dates commencing at 10:00 a.m. local time and ending at 9:59 a.m. local time on June 1, 2022. After you acquire a research line, you can finish it whenever you choose.
