Scaramouche is another Genshin Impact character who is waiting for his turn to be a playable character in the game.
Scaramouche was created by Beelzebul (Raiden Ei) as a test to see if she could manufacture puppet bodies. When the test was completed, Ei sealed Scaramouche's power and then freed him into Inazuma.
Scaramouche, on the other hand, wound up in the hands of the Fatui, who then opened it up. Scaramouche has great power as a direct creation of the Electro Archon, but it would be interesting to see if the Traveler will be able to bind Scaramouche's power or liberate him from the Fatui's grasp.
We haven't heard anything new about the next Genshin Impact Scaramouche character in a while, however, now new 3.0+ leaks have revealed the potential release date and other details.

Genshin Impact Scaramouche release date
Recently, a new leak was posted on the NGA that is rumored to be coming from the Alleged Uncle DD alt account.
As per the leaker, the Genshin Impact Scaramouche release date is scheduled for a 3.2 update. While replying to a DM asking about Cyno, the leaker wrote, "I don't remember [about Cyno], but Scaramouche will be playable in 3.2. You can save this [screenshot]. I will keep running."

Now, these leaks are in sync with others' claims as well.
Ubatcha recently uploaded a Genshin 3.0+ leaks collection in the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Discord. And, because it's a collection of leaks, reading all of it can be time-consuming if all the reader cares about is Scaramouche.
All that has been said about Scaramouche is as follows:
- MrX claims Scaramouche to be a 5-star Catalyst who will appear in the 3.1 or 3.2, And he also claims Scaramouche to be a major DPS with a specialization in Transformative Reactions.
- Then Uncle A claims that a Scaramouche banner will not be available until the 2022 Genshin Impact Anniversary and that by the end of Sumeru, Scaramouche will become playable.
Now clearly the 3.2 update mentioned by MrX and Genshin Impact Anniversary 2022 (which is on 28 September) all line up with Uncle DD's claim of Scaramouche release date.
Now as per the usual six-patch schedule, Genshin Impact 3.2 update should go live on 16 November, (which is a bit later than September due to the version 2.7 delay).

Now apart from Scaramouche's release date, we had other leaks suggesting the release of Scaramouche weekly boss.

Earlier another leak was posted on NGA. Scaramouche will be introduced as a new weekly boss in the Genshin Impact 3.1 update, according to another leak shared on NGA by Uncle Dumb Dumb. "If the company schedule is not affected by the Covid situation in Shanghai, the new 3.1 weekly boss is Scaramouche," the leaker said in their post.
Another trustworthy Genshin account, @SaveYourPrioms, reacted to the leak and made some educated estimates, giving us a weekly boss release date.
It was noted that different weekly bosses were released with the release of different Archon characters in x.1 patches, therefore receiving Scaramouche weekly boss with the introduction of Dendro Archon makes sense. "Versions x.1 possibly reserved for Archon banners + Harbinger showdowns...?" it was speculated.

With the new Scaramouche leak, it's possible that Scaramouche may appear in the Genshin 3.2 release, as Scaramouche unlike Signora has a long-held avatar / (possibly placeholder) element/weapon data.
However, this new Scaramouche release date has ignited another theory. As per a fan:
That [new Scaramouche release date] then implies Sumerus story will run 3 patches instead of the usual 2. Mondstadt aside because its whole story was developed in beta, Liyues conclusion was in 1.1, and Inazumas in 2.1, with the respective Fatui boss fight in each.
However, if that fight caps off the story quest, then there’s little reason for Scaramouche to appear in 3.2 with no story after he is defeated, so either I’m sticking with my 3.1 release theory or there’s a third story quest in 3.2 after his defeat, which would be weird because it would mean not only is he not the boss for Sumeru climax but also that 2 world bosses would potentially release back to back in 3.1 and 3.2.
