Now, we will soon get the Valorant 5.04 update, however, prior to the official reveal we have new info about the upcoming changes in the game. The new data has come from the PBE server of Valorant, where the latest update has been shared before the official release mainly to bug test.

As per the info revealed, the devs are all set to bring major crosshair changes, minor agent nerfs, Unreal Engine upgrade, some bug fixes, and more in the main game.

Upgrades to the Unreal Engine and adjustments to the crosshair Quality of Life are two of the most important aspect of the Valo 5.04 upgrades. With the next crosshair changes, we will be able to do a lot of amazing things, including alter the color of our crosshair and imitate the crosshair of a player who is watching us. Valorant 5.04 Patch - Agent changes

  • Yoru
    • Fixed a bug where Yoru’s Gatecrash would sometimes leave floor markers in incorrect locations.
  • Chamber
    • Fixed a bug where Chamber’s trademarks were not knifeable.

Crosshair quality of life changes!

  • Added the ability to select a custom crosshair color.
    • Go to Settings >> Crosshair >> Primary, Aim Down Sights, or Sniper Scope
    • On the drop down menu for color, select Custom and input the Hex Code (6-digit RGB) value of desired color
    • If a non-Hex code is entered, crosshair will revert to the previous color.
  • Added the ability to independently tune horizontal and vertical crosshair lines.
    • Go to Settings >> Crosshair >> Primary or Aim Down Sights >> Inner/Outer Length
      • Disabling the middle “chain” icon enables independent tuning.
      • Left slider is for horizontal line and the right slider is for the vertical line.
  • Added the ability to copy spectating player’s crosshair settings
    • When spectating another player, type “/crosshair copy” or “/cc” to import the crosshair of the player you are spectating and save it as a new crosshair profile
  • Increased the number of crosshair profiles available from 10 to 15

Valorant 5.04 patch - Unreal Engine

In addition to the changes in the agents' kit and gameplay system, devs have also revealed that Upgrades to the Unreal Engine are coming with the Valo 5.04 patch.

The devs wrote, "We did it, our upgrade to Unreal Engine 4.26 is complete and it’s what you’ll play on during this PBE. Still lots of data and metrics collecting going on to see the state of things."

A known data miner, @Shiick has revealed some Valorant 5.04 voice lines from the PBE. The latest voice lines for Cypher, Fade, and Astra have been added to the new Valorant patch 5.04. It alludes to their relationship with one another and with the other Valorant agents.

Riot Games has finally decided to add new voice lines to Fade and Cypher. Fade gets one new line while Cypher gets nineteen new lines.

Valorant 5.04 - New Range Boar

All of these lines indicate that some interesting stuff is planned for the coming days. However, this should be taken with a grain of salt because Riot Games has yet to make an official announcement on these additions.

Not only Valorant patch 5.04, but we also got info on the next Valorant PBE patches. It has been revealed that PBE invite frequency has changed. Instead of a singular invite wave going out to a small number of eligible players once every PBE patch, it will now be once every OTHER PBE patch.

This started with the 4.10 patch, and it is expected the next invite wave/chance to join is on September 15 (counting the 7 days delay in 5.03 PBE).

However, it was additionally mentioned that this PBE schedule is subject to change depending on what type of patch is going out and it is not completely set in stone.

The PBE is still going on. There have been no new changes to the Patch Notes 5.04 PBE as of yet. We'll update you as soon as we learn of any changes to the upcoming Patch Notes 5.04 PBE.
