League of Legends 12.22b patch notes

Riot Phroxzon, League of Legends Designer on the Summoner's Rift team, detailed the upcoming LoL patch 12.22b changes on November 17th.

As usual, a few champions will be nerfed, and the list includes Amumu this time. Moreover, League of Legends Patch 12.22b will also provide buffs for a number of champions.

Talking about the mini LoL 12.22b patch, Phroxzon said, "Things are looking pretty good (esp Engineering/bug-wise)! Tank Mythics aren't intended to always be rushed. eg. Radiant Virtue, Jak'Sho (which are good 2nd). Shaco's monster mod is restored, buffing besieged Tanks or champs with specific JG optimizations (Kindred, Ivern)."

League of Legends patch 12.22b Champions buffs and nerfs

As mentioned above, a series of champions receive buffs and nerfs with the upcoming mini patch and this time the champion leading the list of champion buffs is Kindred and Ivern. Whereas, we also have some notable names on the system nerfs list - Ravenous Hydra.

Instead of nerfing any specific power selections, Riot is now concentrating on boosting outliers like Amumu, Ivern, Kindred, Maokai, Rammus, and Shaco. The new modifications are difficult for tank junglers to adjust to, and Jak'Sho, the Protean, and Radiant Virtue will receive benefits.

So, let's have a look at the LoL 12.22b, champion stat changes.

LoL Patch 12.22b System buffs and nerfs:

Similar to the buffs, @RiotPhroxzon revealed the LoL Patch 12.22b champion nerfs. Discussing the champion nerfs, Riot Phroxzon said, "Tank item philosophy: It's intended that players can flexibly purchase Mythics 1st/2nd depending on the game. Sometimes it's right to buy Sunfire -> Mythic and sometimes Mythic -> Something else. We don't want to force tanks to buy Sunfire every game for waveclear (in top/jg)"

So let's have a look at these LoL 12.22b System buffs and nerfs.

LoL Patch 12.22b System buffs

  • Jak’Sho: The Protean
  1. Resists per stack: 2 ⇒ 3
  2. % Resists at max stacks: 10% ⇒ 15%

Despite having a catchy name, Jak'Sho isn't performing as hoped. As a result, one of the new tank items in the game will soon receive new changes.

  • Radiant Virtue
  1. Max Health Heal Ratio: 1% ⇒ 2%
  2. Non-Ultimate Ability Haste: 15 ⇒ 20

The devs are planning to bring the versatile nature of Radiant Virtue that allows it to be built either as the first item or the second item in a rush.

  • Rod of Ages
  1. Combine Cost: 815 ⇒ 415
  2. Total Cost: 3200 ⇒ 2800

The performance of Rod of Ages is also not up to the mark and Riot will therefore make some well-deserved adjustments to the item.

LoL Patch 12.22b System Nerfs

  • Ravenous Hydra
  1. Total Cost: 3300 ⇒ 3400
  2. Carnivorous AD Per Stack: 0.6 (Max 24) ⇒ 0.5 (Max 20)

The item Ravenous Hydra is being nerfed in League of Legends patch 12.22b, however (so far) no champions have. It has become a must-build for some choices after the popular fighter item had a redesign in Season 13 that added a stacking feature.

In terms of a mid-patch, this LoL patch 12.22b seems quite a lot.
