Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph

Destiny 2 has had a really successful career till now. This free-to-play online-only multiplayer (first-person shooter) title was developed by Bungie to provide gamers with the fun of a classic shooting game.

The latest expansion for Destiny 2, Destiny 2: Season of the Seraph, is now out which will bring in a surge of new and untried video game content for players to play and experience. There’ll be a new Season Pass that’ll need to be completed, new exotics, etc.

In addition to new loot to collect and nightmares to battle, the Destiny 2 gameplay has undergone significant adjustments. The Crucible maps have been entirely overhauled, with new tasks, daily rewards, and a new triumph and seal to chase.

The formidable AI Warmind Rasputin, who is occasionally a friend and occasionally an enemy, is brought back into contact with Guardians in Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph, making a good first impression.

Here is all that we know about the Season of the Seraph in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph Start date and time

The trailer released by Bungie is linked below.

Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph content

  • Destiny 2 Season 19 - New Dungeon

In Bungie’s November 3 blog post, it was said that the new dungeon will come at the daily reset on December 6.

It will be connected to a weapon dubbed Revision Zero, according to the Season of the Seraph website from Bungie. Although the details of the Dungeon are still unknown, it is safe to assume that it will be difficult and give a unique Triumph Seal to get. The normal difficulty will have Power Level 1550. Master difficulty goes live at the time too.

Here is a list of things that can be expected as rewards:

  • 1 Exotic Accessory (Ship or Sparrow)
  • 2 Legendary Emblems
  • 1 Legendary Armor Set Per Class
  • Artifice Versions can also be acquired via Master Difficulty
  • 4 Legendary New Weapons
  • 1 Exotic Catalyst
  • 2 Legendary Reprised Weapons
  • 1 Exotic Weapon

Other than rewards, let's have a look at the raid rotation.

  • Destiny 2 Season 19 - Raid rotation

For added excitement, Raid activities will be Seasonal and Weekly revealed in a recent Bungie blog post. The Seasonal Raid and Dungeon will provide a Pinnacle reward with every encounter. One Pinnacle reward will be given for doing a specific Weekly Challenge.

  • Destiny 2 Season 19 - Crucible maps

Glorious, a brand-new Crucible Seal, will be included in Season 19 and it will combine Control and Clash into a single QuickPlay playlist.

The weekly rotations will alter because some modes are less well-liked than others. As Saint-14 does, Lord Shaxx will provide engram focusing. With Lightfall, more focusing options will be available.

  • Destiny 2 Season 19 - Trials of Osiris rework

The top-tier PvP mode has seen lots of changes in Destiny 2. Trials of Osiris will receive similar treatment in Season 19. Bungie has also said in a blog post that there are fun changes planned for the fans.

The changes mentioned so far are:

  • When Trials is active, it replaces Crucible Labs.
  • Iron Banner / Freelance (6v6)
  • When Iron Banner is active, it replaces the Quickplay node.

We also have some reworks this season.

Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph - Weapons

In Season of the Seraph, new weapons with a Warmind theme will be introduced after a few seasons of Cabal and Fallen-themed weaponry. Season 19 Crucible weapons to focus on include:

  • Stars in Shadow
  • The Keening
  • Frozen Orbit
  • Survivor’s Epitaph
  • Sorrow’s Verse
  • Crisis Inverted
  • Riptide
  • Out of Bounds
  • Brand-new Crucible weapons are only available as drops during their introductory Season and are then available for focusing on the following Season.
  • Other Shaxx changes
  • The Kill-Tracker Ghost Shell will no longer appear at Lord Shaxx if it has already been acquired. It may be reacquired from Collections.

Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph - Arc/Solar 3.0

Solar 3.0 looks to be at the center of attraction for Season 19. Here are the new subclasses:

  • Destiny 2 Season 19 Celestial Fire

Close-range melee damage has been raised from 90 to 100, eliminating the disadvantage faced by Celestial Fire and auto-combat users in close-range melee battles.

  • Destiny 2 Season 19 Manticore

The Manticore is a weird weapon that combines good feedback with the very odd bonus of Soaring Fang. In essence, causing damage with The Manticore while on the ground will increase the charge on the anti-gravity boosters, and causing damage while in the air will increase the meter.

  • Destiny 2 Season 19 Golden Gun

Golden Gun no longer offers a bonus duration and now offers a 15% damage resistance bonus to Deadshot Golden Gun.

  • Destiny 2 Season 19 Blade Barrage

Reduced from five to three bonus missiles for the Blade Barrage per group. It no longer releases 24 knives, but 20 (+43% from the base).

Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph - Story, and character

Golden Age warmind AI is back in the forefront for Season of the Seraph after being out of action for nearly two years. Rasputin's lethal collection of weaponized satellites is now in the authority of the Hive god of War Xivu Arath, who if successful could use them to attack the Last City.

The Vanguard has created a new clandestine team of agents known as the Seraphs in order to stop her. They will use cutting-edge Warmind weapons to fight back and eliminate Xivu Arath's forces before it's too late.

Here are Bungie’s words themselves:

The Hive God of War moves to seize control of Rasputin’s network of weaponized satellites. In her hands, she would turn its devastating power on the Last City. To stop her, the Vanguard has authorized special covert operations armed with the Warmind’s most advanced weaponry. Agents conducting these operations are known as Seraphs.
