League of Legends 13.2 patch notes

League of Legends is a multiplayer online game, but it isn't an MMO in the sense that it focuses on gameplay rather than an open world to explore. The title is a MOBA that can be challenging to get into for newbies, especially since it has been on the market for a long time, but it does not require a strong PC to play.

We recently received a significant LoL patch 13.1 update which included various changes in the main game, including major buffs and nerfs for several champions and interesting gameplay adjustments.

Now while Riot continues to tinker with all of the major changes in LoL patch 13.2, the live game is indeed moving forward. After dealing with more than 10 champions in the previous update, the developer is now focusing on adjusting a few champions' abilities.

Riot is concentrating on champions like Annie, Zoe, Heimerdinger, and others in patch 13.2. Moreover, the main focus of the LoL patch 13.2 is to bring the major ADC changes to balance the meta.

So let's get to know what has been detailed so far with regards to the League of Legends 13.2 patch, including changes, champions buffs and nerfs, new releases, and more.

League of Legends 13.2 patch notes

League of Legends Designers on the Summoner's Rift team, shared a preview of the upcoming LoL patch 13.2 changes on January 18th.

A few champions will be nerfed as usual, while League of Legends Patch 13.2 will also enhance the abilities of a few champions.

RiotPhroxzon stated regarding the LoL 13.2 patch, "This patch, we're shaking up a lot of different systems; fighter items, ADC satisfaction adjustments, and adjustments to make Grievous Wounds more impactful as a reactionary purchase. We're making pre-emptive nerfs to champs that will become OP from Crit changes (Kindred, GP)"

Orianna, Zoe, Annie, and others are among the champions that will be buffed as part of the 13.2 update, and Kassadin, Yuumi, Ryze, Lucian, and others will be receiving nerfs. Moreover, Jax is the champion that will receive changes to his kits with the LoL 13.2 patch.

League of Legends patch 13.2 Champions buffs and nerfs

As mentioned above, a series of champions receive buffs and nerfs with the upcoming patch, and this time we also have a few champions leading the list of champion adjustments.

Now let's have a look at the champion buffs that will be seen in LoL patch 13.2.

LoL Patch 13.2 Champion buffs:

A few of the previous patches were all Worlds-focused, and now Riot Phroxzon, League of Legends Lead Designer, has revealed this upcoming patch, that is LoL patch 13.2 will have numerous changes that deal with ADC champs and restore them to a healthy state.

To make up for the low victory rates experienced since the last patch, a few champs are receiving minor improvements. The champions receiving LoL Patch 13.2 buffs are:

  • Orianna
  • Zoe
  • Annie
  • Wiwwia

Annie and Zoe have been having a lot of difficulties since season 13 started earlier this month, and the new modifications have significantly decreased their lane possibilities. Fortunately, League of Legends patch 13.2 is intended to address this issue and make it easier for players to compete in different matchups.

Riot Games intends to significantly alter the champion meta as the game gradually enters its new season. Some of the key components of League of Legends Patch 13.2 include new upgrades that will be granted to Jax.

LoL Patch 13.2 Champion adjustment:

In the previous patch, Jax got a mini rework, and now in LoL Patch 13.2, he is once again getting VFX/SFX upgrades.

LoL Patch 13.2 Champion nerfs:

Now coming to LoL Patch 13.2 Champion nerfs. Similar to the buffs, developers also revealed the LoL Patch 13.2 champion nerfs, and the list of champions is comparatively long.

The balancing team is working to weaken the game's powerful hero, so more nerfs are on the way. Also, a rework is in progress, which will further weaken Yuumi.

The champions receiving LoL Patch 13.2 nerfs are:

  • Kassadin
  • Yuumi
  • Maokai
  • Gangplank
  • Ryze
  • Lucian
  • Heimerdinger
  • Udyr (R Max)
  • Kindred
  • Nami

Kassadin and Ryze are both reasonably solid and are having a high win percentage for a while now in the current mid-lane meta. Since Maokai is currently the most powerful jungler in the game and nerfing Demonic Embrace alone won't help balance the champion, he will receive a double nerf.

Due to a series of crit adjustments that the devs have already revealed they are considering for upcoming patches, the Gangplank and Kindred nerfs are being implemented in advance. If these champions seem unimpressive or aren't performing as expected, they may think about buffing them.

Hence, RiotPhreak highlighted some significant ADC adjustments coming in patch 13.2 in response to ADC's poor standing in the game.

Moving forward, Riot Phroxzon discussed the potential changes that Patch 13.2 may bring. Grievous Wounds Item Changes, which have been on Riot's list, are now actually happening.

As champions in League of Legends have it easy, changes are coming on many fronts. As a result, TheTruexy revealed the upcoming adjustments to Fighter item plans.
