Valorant 6.01 Patch - map changes

The VALORANT map design team is constantly discussing the state of the maps and wanted to make some changes to improve some of the elements of the newest map - Lotus.

Well, it was highly unexpected that Riot Games will deviate from their bi-weekly tradition and release an update a week earlier because the map dropped with Episode 6 Act 1 only a week ago. But now Lotus will finally be included in the Unrated and Competitive map pools with patch 6.1, and Riot will also be making a number of balancing and bug changes to the map.

However, our list of Agent tiers has not been altered as a result of this map-focused patch. In addition to these, Riot has added a number of bug fixes with this release that not only influences the Gameplay Systems but also enhance Lotus' quality of life.

  • Fixed a bug where the Spike would be invisible and attempting to equip the Spike would fail after changing from Defender to Attacker in a Custom Game and picking up the Spike.
  • Fixed a bug where you were unable to plant the Spike after reconnecting to a match where you died while disconnected.
  • Fixed a bug that, while using the Marshall, prevented full reloading between shots if auto-scoping is enabled. Thanks for all the reports on this!

Not only Valorant patch 6.01, but we also got info on the next Valorant PBE patches. It has been revealed that PBE invite frequency has changed. Instead of a singular invite wave going out to a small number of eligible players once every PBE patch, it will now be once every OTHER PBE patch.

This started with the 4.10 patch, and January 20 has been announced as the date of the next invite wave/chance to join Valo Patch 6.02. However, it was additionally mentioned that this PBE schedule is subject to change depending on what type of patch is going out and it is not completely set in stone.

Obviously, these changes seem interesting, hence, those who are early waiting to see the Valorant map changes, bug fixes, and more should hop onto the game now.

Keep visiting for more details that will be coming soon.
