As is the tradition with Genshin Impact, new updates are released after every 6 weeks (2.7 was an exception), and prior to the patch release, we get beta test to check out the performance of the upcoming content.
Recently, we got the 3.6 private beta where dataminers got the opportunity to dig up the files and reveal the content of the upcoming Genshin Impact 3.6 update. However, the leakers have gone a step further, or we can say a few patches forward and have started revealing info regarding Genshin Impact 4.0 update.
Now with Genshin Impact 4.0 update, leakers claim that we will get the much-awaited Fontaine region. Adding to this, leaks have also revealed a list of upcoming Genshin Impact Fontaine characters that will be seen in the forthcoming 4.x patches, including versions 4.0, 4.1, and more.
According to the most recent reports, miHoYo will release 15 new characters on a regular basis following the launch of Fontaine in the Genshin 4.0 update, including Hydro Archon.

Genshin Impact 4.0 leaks
In each of the past Genshin Impact updates, there were one or two new characters along with two or three banner re-runs. Now players have been introduced to Dehya and Mika in the most recent update with Ayaka and Shenhe rerun planned for this patch.
However, a host of new unreleased characters are yet to be added, including those who will arrive with the Genshin 4.0 update, as well as the Fontaine area.

Now let's divide the above characters as per inf revealed and the credibility of these 4.0 leaks.
Genshin Impact 4.0+ characters leak
In this miscellaneous part, we will share every detail that has been revealed so far of the upcoming Fontaine characters.
- The previously leaked Fontaine prisonmaster* is Varka's image. The actual prisonmaster is a different person, but there aren't any leaks yet
- Varka's image is very hot. Coat, chains, chest partially revealed, wolfish accessories, and overall red-black color scheme, but you can see his Cryo Vision, and a feather similar to Mika's in front of his left breast, so [TC is] guessing he's Cryo
- Fontaine will bring us the Mondstadt DLC area Dornman Port, and it's probably arriving before Qiaoying Village
- Arlecchino's outfit is a modified suit, with tails similar to a tailcoat, [she] wears heels, with a color scheme of black white grey with red accents 6. 3.7 and 3.8 probably don't have new 5stars
- Apple lady [aka "Captain R"] has a really significant status, and she's already been mentioned in-game
- Cryo, [Varka] has Mika's feather on him
- Yes, the feather from Mika's burst
- Lyney is a 5* Pyro Bow User

Let's see some leaks on the particular characters that have gained the most attention from both players and leakers.
Genshin Impact Lynette leak
Lynette is another Genshin Impact character who stands out enough to be noticed, especially after the 3.4 beta has begun. One of the primary characters from the Genshin Impact manga, Lynette will not have to wait for long for her turn as a playable character in Genshin Impact since recent rumors indicate that she will be released soon.
There is currently no official information available regarding Lynette's rarity. Mero, a well-known leaker, has revealed that Lynette is a 4-star character. This means that Travelers will almost certainly be able to obtain her alongside one of the game's upcoming 5-star character banners.
Furthermore, the leaker revealed that Lynette wields an Anemo Sword. This means she'll be joining characters like Jean and Kazuha, who use wind-based abilities and deadly sword combos to send their enemies flying.

We also saw Lynette model previously, and even SYP confirmed that they were real, however, older versions of concept art.
Lynette is considerably different from what we are used to seeing in the manga. One obvious difference in the Genshin Impact Lynette model is her maturity reflected in her appearance.

Genshin Impact Lyney leak
When it comes to Lyney, it is said that there is currently not much information available, implying that the first character in the 4.0 update will not be Lyney.
Lyney will probably be well-liked by Travelers who adore enveloping their enemies in deadly flames because he is said to be a Pyro character. According to renowned leaker Mero, Lyney is a 5-star character. This means that when his banner is released, Travelers may anticipate spending lots of Primogems.
Mero claims that Lyney uses a Pyro Bow. This implies he will join characters like Yoimiya and Amber, who also pelt enemies with hot arrows.

Like Lynette, he doesn't play in a very distinctive way. Also, there are no reliable Genshin Impact leaks indicating which Version Update would include them, but his model has been revealed.
Genshin Lyney was initially shown to have a young man model having violet eyes, pale skin, and a braided hairstyle. He was seen wearing a top hat and a black cape with a red ribbon. And his recently leaked artwork also supports the same, implying there aren't many changes in the Lyney model.

Genshin Impact Varka leak
A new leak was posted on NGA by a reliable leaker in the Genshin community, 77__oat who revealed that players will get to see Varka in the Genshin Impact 3.8+ update.
Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius of Mondstadt - Varka has been referenced in Genshin Impact since day 1, yet Genshin Impact Varka is one of the numerous unreleased characters who doesn't have many leaks surrounding its release.
Recent Genshin 4.0 leaks have revealed tons of information about his appearance and claimed that rather than the "grandpa" persona, Varka will seem younger and won't have a beard like his character model.
The following has been stated regarding the Varka model:
- Crude/Rough and Powerful design like wolf
- A strange cyro vision
- Feather similar to Mika on his left chest
- Mika+Rosaria element(?) OR Mika+Rosaria design feature related to Mika+Rosaria(?) TL: Unsure which is the one TC is referring to I think that the design leak i received should be him no doubt.
- Extremely cool/stylish chain as his outfit with cool/stylish wearing style.
- Moreover, he got MUSCULAR CHEST and very cool hairstyle, part of it being wolf decorating.
- Not 100% sure, but the design style fit him, so should be it.
- Colorwise should be like Pokemon (TL: Should be Zoroark), with very stylish topcoat.
Varka and Pokemon's Zoroark are comparable in certain ways, the leakers claim. The Cryo hypothesis is an educated guess based on his design, which readers, regrettably, cannot yet view. Based on the wolf-like features and a feather resembling Mika's, Team China even believes the design they received is Varka's.

Genshin Impact Hydro Archon leak
The next destination for Genshin Impact players is Fontaine, the Hydro Archon's domain. Fontaine has grown in popularity mainly because the Hydro aspect has yet to be fully explored in-game.
The Traveler will proceed to Fontaine following Sumeru because it is renowned for being one of Teyvat's most technologically advanced nations. Fontaine is known to have two Archons as per the leaks, one of whose name is still unknown and is thought to have passed away. The second is Focalors, the present Archon, who, like Nahida, was not one of the original seven.
The first character we turn to is the Hydro Archon. She has been the topic of many leaks before because she is a prominent figure in Fontaine. Plus, she is the Hydro Archon, the element which is all the hype right now.

As per the leaked Genshin Impact Hydro Archon model, she appears to be modeled after the character Seele from the second-most played HoYoverse game, Honkai Impact 3rd. She has her Vision prominently visible, which is unusual for other Genshin Impact Archons like Venti or Zhongli, as some commenters have noted.
The blue-white hair short female character previously leaked has been confirmed by HXG to be the Hydro Archon, Focalors.

For now, this new Genshin 4.0 characters leak is merely a few "maybe" names with no info on appearance, element, etc. However, it is sort of expected as we're still months away from the 4.0 Beta. So getting names, placeholders, and other insider info isn't shocking.
Please remember that these leaks came from anonymous sources, and there's no way of knowing how reliable they are. However, if the sources are correct, Fontaine will be 6 to 7 patches long, with little room for re-runs of previous characters due to the large number of new characters set to appear.
Yet it would be ideal to take these Genshin Impact 4.0+ characters leaks with a grain of salt until HoYoverse officially reveals any details as it is way too early to be sure of any info on the Genshin Impact 4.0 update.
