New Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Rumors

Recently, a popular industry insider, Shpeshal_Nick did his XboxEra podcast and revealed that the rumored Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is another game that he has heard of that may get featured at the PlayStation showcase.

He additionally added that it may be at this PlayStation Showcase that the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake will be announced and may also have some exclusivity with it.

Also supporting what Baker said is Jez Corden, managing editor of Windows Central and another popular industry insider, who said he has "heard similar about Metal Gear exclusivity for PlayStation." Additionally, he says Sony and Konami have an agreement for Silent Hill, Metal Gear, and perhaps a new Castlevania.

Industry insider Jeff Grubb has stated repeatedly that a new PlayStation Showcase 2023 event is expected to take place before Summer Game Fest, which is scheduled to take place on June 8. Many have been prompted to think by such rumors that the event will most likely take place at the end of May, but Sony has not yet made an official announcement.

Therefore, until Sony Interactive Entertainment makes a formal announcement, this should be regarded as a rumor.

But this isn't the only occasion that the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake has been mentioned.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Teaser

A potential Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake teaser by Hogwarts Legacy Composer was recently added to the rumor pool.

J. Scott Rakozy, who composed the music for Hogwarts Legacy, recently uploaded a clip to his Instagram account with the phrase "If you know... you know" and what appeared to be a new version of the Metal Gear Solid theme.

He promptly deleted the post after that, which is always a hint that it shouldn't have been made public. Of course, the video was nonetheless saved, and it actually does sound quite similar to the Metal Gear Solid soundtrack.

As if that weren't enough, keen-eyed viewers also noticed that a screen above his monitor appears to show a camera moving through a jungle in a tiny peek.

People now believe that this could indicate that the video genuinely matches the soundtrack and that this is further evidence of a potential Metal Gear Solid 3 remake.

Although it's widely assumed that Konami will attend either Microsoft or Sony's summer preview events, we won't know for sure whether they'll reveal a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake there until it actually happens.
