Armored Core 6 leaks have revealed new details about the game

The video game for which the video game developers FromSoftware are most famous is perhaps the massive RPG Elden Ring. Now, this game is one of the very best ones out there at the moment, definitely in its genre. But that does not mean that this is the developer’s only game.

A relatively ‘old’ video game, if we may say so, by FromSoftware that was significantly popular when it was released back in 1997, and still is, is one of the very best titles that this developer has created so far. And that video game is Armored Core.

Armored Core is a third-person shooter mecha video game series released, as already mentioned, way back in 1997. It is already on its fifth installment and the sixth one is on the way. Leaks suggest that the developers have been busy with this sixth part, as many screenshots that suggested this were spotted as part of a player survey.

The essential gameplay of this title is huge mechs crushing and blasting other similarly huge mechs into nothingness. The fanbase is a loyal one and Armored Core 6 is something that they have always been asking for.

This post discusses everything that we know so far about Armored Core 6.

Armored Core 6 leak

The source of this leak is Red Liqourice, who is a Resetera user. He claims that a survey was sent to him by none other than FromSoftware that talked about a game that appeared to be a lot like Armored Core.

This survey had some questions regarding Elden Ring and other projects. But it also had something to say about a “sci-fi world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki,” that featured “three-dimensional, dynamic action” in addition to a “high degree of freedom in customization.”

The survey that potentially talked about Armoured Core 6 went on to say, “The game is a third-person shooter mecha action title that lets you move around an overwhelmingly scaled map that represents a unique sci-fi world with dynamic mech action. You will face strong enemies and fierce battles both long and short-range using guns and blades.”

And if you have played Armored Core even once, you’d know that this sounds exactly like a description of the game. And this is exciting news for the fans. Many others who received the same survey later claimed that they had also seen some screenshots and clips of this upcoming Armored Core 6. You can take a look at them in the next section.

Armored Core 6 screenshots leak

The screenshots of the Armored Core 6 can be in the tweet below. However, these images are heavily watermarked. They were only supposed to be seen by those taking part in the survey.

One person who received the survey said, “I was pretty amazed to be watching footage of an upcoming FromSoft game randomly this morning, quite unexpected.” Another commented that the boss fights were reminiscent of Dark Souls, which has always been the case in Armored Core, despite the series being set in a different genre.

Potential Armored Core 6 release date

Right now, we have no clue when the sixth installment would release. However, the above tweet tells us that FromSoftware has job positions open for “several new projects.”

Armored Core 6 Platforms

As the previous installments in this series were on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, it follows that Armored Core 6 would be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Also, a PC release is likely.

Armored Core 6 Gameplay

YouTube is replete with pretty much every part of the previous titles in the Armored Core series because this franchise is pretty popular. But, indeed, FromSoftware has more or less ignored such games in favor of the Souls series since 2009.

It was in 2012 that Armored Core 5 was released, alongside its spin-off. Verdict Day was released later in 2013. Armored Core has since then been put in the storeroom and not taken out. Till now, that is.

The motifs of this video game series are putting new and futuristic technologies on mechs and balancing out things like thermals and weight to make new and detailed builds.

And that is all that we know so far about Armored Car 6. If these leaks are true, then you can be sure to hear something about them in the upcoming days from official sources. So stay tuned.
