One of the most important games of 2022 was Elden Ring. Later, in 2022, the game was named the Game of the Year and eventually overthrew The Last of Us Part 2 as the most GOTY award-winning game. Now, the game is stirring up excitement again with a new update in its Steamdb files and new claims from an unknown leaker, fueling speculation about a potential announcement for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree at the Game Awards 2023.
Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree content is supposedly equal to the entire Bloodborne game
Recently a leak was shared on 4chan, where a leaker supposedly from a Singapore outsource studio claims that Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree is basically Elden Ring Part 2, and the amount of content added is about equal to the entire Bloodborne game added on.
In their post, the alleged leaker said:
Leaker from Singapore outsource studio here, we work on Elden Ring.
Make environment assets and many item assets etc, 3D modeling, texturing etc.
Shadow of Erdtree is a combination of what was originally going to be 2 expansions, but Fromsoftware decided instead to just do one giant one.
The entire game world is duplicated as a Shadow Realm, like a Dark World from old 2D Zelda game.
It can be accessed in several warpable spots all over the world. The Shadow Land is fractured and fragmented and each zone is semi cut off from each other, and have large sprawling level design.
Shadow Limgrave for instance is stormveil castle ripped in half and you have to access it later.
There is even shadow underground areas.
In the Shadow realm Erd Tree looks different and sky is more black.
The entire game also has featured a major changeup similar to processes made in Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin whereby the games enemies and items move locations often very dramatically and new enemies placed and new entities exist under new game conditions. This is Elden Ring Part 2 and the amount of content added is about equal to entire Bloodborne game added on.
Now, it might seem interesting but keep in mind that it's a 4chan leak, and a lot of this seems like a compilation of the many unfounded rumors and conjecture regarding this DLC that have been floating about since FromSoftware released that one concept art image for the announcement.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Announcement at Game Awards 2023: New Steamdb Files Updated
The action-packed RPG Elden Ring has recently undergone updates in its Steam backend, triggering excitement and speculation within the gaming circles.
