The R6 Y9S1 update for Siege, dubbed "Operation Deadly Omen," has been released by Ubisoft and includes the release of "Deimos," our newest Attacker Operator.

Gerald Morris, also known as Deimos, was a former Rainbow agent who turned bad once it was discovered that he was the architect behind Masayuki Yahata's killing. In addition, he is the driving force behind Rainbow and Nighthaven's disagreement. Deimos is an operator with two speeds and two health that can pinpoint your exact location. His DeathMARK Tracker device provides a live ping of the target's exact location as well as Deimos' location until the device's time runs out or someone dies.

Let's explore R6 Deimos, the Y9S1 operator, in more detail, including his gadget, loadout, gameplay, and other aspects.

Rainbow Six Siege Deimos Gadget

Deimos makes his appearance as the first playable villain operator in Rainbow Six Siege's Operation Deadly Omen. Until now, every previous operator has been a decent guy supporting the Rainbow faction. However, in the cinematic reveal trailer, Deimos defies this pattern and is seen attempting to eliminate Rainbow members before being apprehended.

The primary gadgets used by Deimos are tiny helicopters known as Death Mark Trackers, which are able to locate defenders on a map. Since the trackers were first able to locate them via their drones, Deimos or his team will use them to find targets anywhere on the map. Moreover, the attacker will only be allowed to use his firearm while utilizing the device.

Rainbow Six Siege Deimos Loadout

As a 2 Health, 2 Speed attacker in Rainbow Six Y9S1, Deimos's loadout in Operation Deadly Omen includes:

  • Primary weapons: AK-74M, M590A1 Shotgun
  • Secondary weapon: .44 Vendetta Revolver (new weapon addition)
  • Secondary gadget options: Secondary hard breach charges, Frag grenades
  • Primary Gadget: Death Mark Trackers

Until the device's time runs out or one is murdered, his DeathMARK Tracker device shows the target's exact location as a live ping and Deimos' location. This should be helpful for anti-roaming, preventing opponent flanking, and diverting opposing operators as it essentially turns into a race to kill or be killed.

Deimos can unleash a barrage of shots on his opponent because of the AK's enormous magazine. The M590A1 shotgun is another option that works well for attacking an enemy with a shotgun as soon as you approach them and before they can defend themselves.

That being said, the 44 Vendetta is the true star of Deimos' kit. The antagonist's go-to weapon is this brand-new revolver. It takes exactly two shots to "kill anything that moves." With clear sight and excellent mobility, you can destroy anything in your way.

Rainbow Six Siege Deimos Gameplay

'Operation Deadly Omen,' the first episode of Rainbow Six Siege Year 9 by Ubisoft, introduces the new operator Dimos. Deimos is an operator with two speeds and two health, who can also use frag grenades. Deimos' gadget, a flying drone called Nano, is inspired by the US military. This device resembles a tiny helicopter and when it flies, it scans the map quickly.

Developers clarified that this is how Deimos is connected to his mission. The devs stated, "When you see the Nano, Deimos shows up after."

Deimos's specialty is tracking his prey effectively and mercilessly. He seeks for targets wherever they may be on the map using a tiny probe known as Death Markers. Then, for a brief while, Deimos is informed of their location while simultaneously being revealed to his opponents.

From zero Death Markers at the beginning, you can earn up to three. When you unleash one, everyone will know about it, giving the opposition time to get ready. Until the timer expires, Deimos dies or the target falls down, the Death Marker will continue to search.

Because of his balance, he can press hard without fear of being hit by stray bullets. Deimos can be used as a misdirection or bait by a well-coordinated team. Think about having Ying, Blitz, Zofia, or Ash on your team. At the beginning of the season, Deimos may be obtained with the Premium Battle Pass. However, two weeks later, the new R6 Y89S1 operator can be obtained with Renown or R6 credits.

Overall, Deimos, the R6 Y9S1 operator, will be released on March 12, 2024, as part of Rainbow Six's Operation Deadly Omen. Before being made officially available, the Deimos Attacker will undergo intense testing on the TTS in order to guarantee a polished and well-balanced addition to the game's roster.

Apart from the new operator, Season One of Year 9 will also see significant adjustments made to a few system elements. Shields are being redesigned, and ADS and attachments will also be adjusted. Additionally, a brand-new feature named the Locker will be included in the menu and new maps and operators are among the other enhancements being made to the Versus AI Playlist.

That covers everything there is to know about the gameplay, gadgets, loadout, and other elements of R6 Deimos to get players ready for Operation DEADLY OMEN.
