  • Overpass replaces Anubis in the Active Duty Map Pool.

CS2 Premier Season 3 Update: Medal and Map Pool Changes

Season 3 introduces a brand-new Premier Medal that displays different colors and up to five bars indicating your wins, with each bar representing 25 wins. To earn the medal, players must win at least 25 CS2 Premier matches and maintain an active CSR by season end.

The Active Duty Map Pool has seen a notable shift: Overpass has returned, replacing Anubis, which now moves to the Reserve Pool. This change reshapes competitive strategies and map preferences for players.

Weapon Tweaks and CT Economy Update

The Incendiary Grenade has been buffed with a faster spread rate, allowing Counter-Terrorists to control lanes more effectively by rapidly blocking rushes.

Conversely, the CT-side MP9 SMG has received a nerf to its jumping accuracy and increased recoil, making it less reliable in aggressive jump shots and spray patterns.

A major gameplay shift comes with the CT economy buff: for every Terrorist eliminated, all Counter-Terrorist players gain a $50 team award in Competitive mode.

This change encourages more aggressive CT playstyles and impacts weapon purchasing strategies throughout rounds.
