A new Horizon VR game is probably being developed by Firesprite, as per a notable insider.

Recently, an announcement was made by the Firesprite Games that it's joining the PlayStation Studios family and now as per another report, Firesprite is apparently working on a pristine Horizon VR game that is a "separate thing set in the Horizon universe."
The news of a new Horizon VR game being developed comes from a notable insider, Nick Baker or @Spheshal_Nick, via the XboxEra podcast.

During the most recent XboxEra podcast, Nick detailed the new Sony acquisition and talked about the Horizon VR game in the Rumor Mill segment. Nick said, "Sony procured Firesprite which is the ex-Studio Liverpool studio that made WipEout,"
Nick further added, "I have been told that they are working on a Horizon VR game." And when inquired as to whether this new Horizon VR game is a Zero Dawn or Forbidden West VR, he answered, "I asked, I said is it Forbidden West VR? Is it Zero Dawn VR? It's something different set in the Horizon universe that is VR."
Moreover, he mentioned that he was not told in case it's [Horizon VR] an all-out game like Half-Life: Alyx or an experience like the Batman thing, he clarified that he is unaware of this part.
Sony reported the next-gen VR for the PlayStation 5 back in February 2021, and after the declaration, Sony gave fans the principal look at the new PSVR 2 controller with a truly exceptional and inventive design in March 2021.

So, it is conceivable that Sony wishes to release a Horizon VR version of one of its top-selling IP, for the next-gen PlayStation VR headset. Also, the haptic feedback feature included on the new PSVR 2 controller would definitely act as an advantage for Horizon's arrow and bow combat system.
While introducing the world with the new PSVR 2 controller, Hideaki Nishino said, "The principal thing you'll see with our next-gen VR controller is the interesting design, which takes on an "orb" shape that permits players to hold the controller normally, while playing with a serious level of freedom".
Moreover, recently Sony reported the official Horizon Forbidden West release date, February 18, 2022, after the long postponement, which will be coming on both the PS4 and PS5 consoles.
