Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi is coming with their newest addition to the Xiaomi 12 series, Xiaomi 12 Pro. Xiaomi has said that the phone is made to completely compete with Apple’s iPhone.
For Xiaomi fans, the new flagship smartphone has all the potential to become their favorite device. However, the phone has already been released in China, but those who are living in some other country will have to wait for a while.
It has been suggested that March 31, 2022, could be the potential Xiaomi 12 Pro release date for the other countries and this phone will offer you a premium experience at a comparatively low price.

Xiaomi 12 Pro Design
The smartphone is given a rectangular lens module design with a large circular as well as some small circular patterns. Compared to the previous Mi 11, the design of the Xiaomi 12 Pro is not much different.

Talking about improvements, there is also a major improvement in the night view mode algorithm, Image Blanding, and zoom blurriness.
- Xiaomi 12 Pro Ultra-wide camera
The Xiaomi 12 Pro’s ultra-wide camera is supported by 50MP JN1 sensors. The ultra-wide sensor provides increased dynamic range and photo quality. However, if we compare the ultra-wide view of Xiaomi 12 Pro with that of Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Ultra is relatively ahead in terms of a long wide range.
Another great thing about the Xiaomi 12 Pro’s ultra-wide camera is that mostly it performs as the main camera also. Improved night mode gives better and brighter night view photos than the one from night mode in Mi 11 Ultra.
- Xiaomi 12 Pro 2x Telephoto
The Xiaomi 12 Pro’s 2x Telephoto is also supported by 50MP JN1 sensors. However, reviews about the 2x telephoto are not much pleasing as the feature seems unsatisfactory. In comparison with Mi 11 Ultra, the 2x telephoto of Xiaomi 12 Pro seems a little behind in terms of image quality, highlight control, and noise control.
Night mode is not as good as it should be. However, if triggered well, the auto mode of Xiaomi 12 Pro performs quite nicely at night.
Xiaomi 12 Pro Battery Life
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is backed up by an impressive 4600mAh battery backup. Moreover, the flagship smartphone is equipped with the Surge P1 chip which allows the smartphone to perform 120W fast charging in a single cell.
However, on wireless charging, the Xiaomi 12 Pro only supports a maximum of 50W charging. The 120W charger is definitely going to cost a lot, however, Xiaomi gives you a charger included in the package.
Xiaomi 12 Pro MIUI 13
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is supported by the MIUI 13, however, it does not look like to have much of a difference from the previous MIUI 12.5. Still, if we talk about the improvements, the MIUI 13 has undoubtedly become relatively good in terms of bugging and lagging.
You’ll also see some new widgets in addition to the desktop. Moreover, a major good thing about the MIUI 13 is that it allows Xiaomi 12 Pro users to connect and stream the device’s content with other Xiaomi devices.

This phone could be a bit above some people’s pay grades. While the Xiaomi Mi 11 has a price tag of 746 pounds (a bit lower than the Samsung Galaxy S21), Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is on the market for 1,199 pounds. So don’t expect this phone to come cheap.

Xiaomi 12 Pro - Our Verdict
Even if it is a fact that the Xiaomi 12 Pro is a step behind Mi 11 Ultra in terms of some features such as battery capacity, charging rate, or sensor size, it still arguably gives you a better experience than the later smartphone.
It clearly seems that this year, Xiaomi has tried not to compromise with user experience even if they had to make some stepbacks in terms of specs and features.
