As players are already aware that it's Halloween season, the game publishers have started announcing new horror and spooky games to their fans. Back in October 2021, Two Star Games, the US-based indie game developer reported its next game - Choo-Choo Charles.

It was revealed that this new horror game will be a first-person open-world title.

Two Star Games' Choo-Choo Charles is about maintaining and using a train to battle off a creepy murderous spider train (clown-faced). The game is basically taken from Stephen King’s It, having Thomas the Tank Engine, where the trains wish to eat the player.

On October 1, Two Star Games first announced the Choo-Choo Charles game on Twitter which also showcased some sort of gameplay and artwork. The announcement trailer came along with the Choo-Choo Charles steam page, which further gave more details about this upcoming game.

Since then, the Indie developer has shared numerous videos on the game's development. And now we finally have the exact Choo-Choo Charles release date.

After 2019's My Friend is a Raven and 2020's My Beautiful Paper Smile, Choo-Choo Charles will be Two Star Games' third appropriate title as the studio is a solo developer.

Choo-Choo Charles will feature the lesser-known King monster, Charlie The Choo-Choo and players will go around a strange island riding their very own train which can be redesigned with a wide range of trinkets.

With these upgrades in the train, players will be able to make their trains more powerful and run quicker. Be that as it may, while players go around the island, they'll be nagged by an abhorrent spider train called Charles who truly wishes to eat the player.

Earlier, the game's steam page claimed that Choo-Choo Charles will be released in the first quarter of 2022. However, now Two Star Games has revealed the official Choo-Choo Charles release date - December 9th, 2022.

Choo-Choo Charles is set to be released on PC and players can add this upcoming game to their Steam wishlist now.

Choo Charles is a first-person shooter, survival horror, open-world game, and even though the train plays a major part in the game, yet players can get off the train and explore the area by walking, however, that is most likely not an insightful thought.

The main objective of the game is to take on missions for the unnerved occupants, update your own yellow train with weapons and reinforcement, and ultimately take on Charles in a fight until the very end.

Go looting or complete missions to find "Scraps", which can be used to turn your train into a death machine on wheels.

Get help from the townspeople.

Help out the settlers in return for high-powered weapons, and other items vital to Charles' destruction.

Fight Charles to the death.

Complete the main questline, and summon Charles to a mortal duel. If you’ve gained enough strength, firepower, and skill, Charles may finally meet his match.

"In Choo-Choo Charles you’re given the task of eradicating a monster known by the locals as "Charles". Nobody knows where he came from, but they know why; to eat the flesh of puny humans. You have a small yellow train, with a map, mounted machine gun, and an exquisite collection of bobbleheads on the dashboard. You’ll use this train to get from place to place, while you complete missions for the townspeople or loot scraps from around the island. Over time you’ll use your scraps to upgrade your train’s speed, armor, and damage. You’ll grow your arsenal, and (hopefully) become an unstoppable force, ready to take on the great and mighty Charles."
