UPDATE: 26/08/23

Valorant Sunset Map Officially Announced

The highly anticipated unveiling of the next VALORANT map, Sunset, has finally taken place, confirming earlier speculations that Riot Games was crafting a map located in their very own Los Angeles, California.

The map creators openly acknowledge encountering distinct challenges during the creation of Sunset, but the endeavor was infused with a deep fondness for the city that the development team calls its own.

Sunset stands as a two-site map with a primary emphasis on rapidly securing mid-control and leveraging distinct cover possibilities to surprise opponents. The map is adorned with captivating elements inspired by Los Angeles, such as the presence of food trucks, and a skate park reminiscent of the iconic Channel Park in San Pedro.

Also, the map contains instantly recognizable art deco and mission-style architectural styles, a vintage cinema, genuine graffiti murals handcrafted by local artists, and even the well-known 'golden hour' ambiance that bathes the city in warm light.

Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 Release Date

The anticipated release date for Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 is slated for Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

Riot Games follows a Tuesday update cycle, and with the current Battle Pass concluding on August 28, the likelihood of the new update launching on August 29 is strong. Players should be prepared for a temporary server shutdown to facilitate maintenance a few hours ahead of the update's availability, leading to the game being inaccessible during this period.

As for the content projected for Valorant Episode 7 Act 2, at the very least, players can expect the introduction of a fresh Battle Pass accompanied by an array of cosmetic rewards. However, it's reasonable to anticipate the arrival of both a new skin bundle and a new map, potentially named Valorant Sunset, especially since the latter was absent from the preceding release.

Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 Map - Sunset

After the unveiling of Lotus in January, enthusiasts have eagerly anticipated the release of a new Valorant map. Now it seems like the long wait is about to end, as Riot Games has teased a new map, scheduled for official reveal on August 26.

This date coincides with the Valorant Champions finals, marking the pinnacle of the 2023 VCT, where premier teams from the International Leagues fight for supremacy. The event serves as an ideal platform to unveil fresh content for this tactical shooter.

The first potential teaser for the Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 map emerged on August 15, showcasing Deadlock (a recently introduced Agent in Valorant's 7.0 patch) and Cypher collaborating to "peek behind the KINGDOM curtain."

Leaked information, in addition to these teasers, has shed light on the upcoming Valo Ep 7 Act 2 map, tentatively named Sunset. A few leakers stumbled upon an in-game card featuring the backdrop of Los Angeles and inferred that Riot Games had previously hinted at the new map through the in-game cover for Episode 7 Act 2, featuring the "LA" tag. Upon closer examination, the cover art offers glimpses of the new map's background.

Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 Breeze Changes

With Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 just nine days away, a wave of exciting additions is poised to hit the game. Key among these is the map changes, with the forthcoming Act ushering in the return of Breeze, accompanied by the departure of Pearl and Fracture.

The following are the new changes being made to the Valorant Breeze map:

  • Mid Pillar Changes

One of the most significant changes to the Breeze map involves the removal of an area around the mid-pillar. Previously, players had the freedom to rotate around the pillar, but this option has been eliminated. Instead, players must now ascend a series of boxes to access an elevated position that overlooks Nest and the top of mid. While this change introduces a new dynamic to mid-control, defenders now only need to cover one side when holding against a potential push through the area.

  • B Site Transformation

The B site on Breeze has undergone significant adjustments too. Previously featuring stairs to facilitate movement through the site, players must now contend with a full wall on the long side of B. To traverse to the other side, players need to scale a series of boxes, increasing the risk of pushing through this area. New angles and hiding spots have also been added to the back of the site.

  • A Hall and Mid Doors Evolution

A substantial adjustment pertains to A Hall, a prime avenue for players to discreetly flank both attackers and defenders. The update has effectively barricaded this pathway, eliminating this option going forward. Furthermore, the mid doors have been expanded due to changes in the mid-pillar area, supplemented by a stack of crates in front to enhance protection.

  • A Main and A Site Revamp

A Shop and A Cave have been reworked and combined into a single area, creating a wide entrance to the A site. Defenders now only need to focus on one relative angle when holding A main, eliminating the need to check both paths for potential enemies. However, two stacks of boxes have been placed for players to use as cover, adding an element of danger to pushing ahead without proper utility. Furthermore, large icons resembling a shrimp and crab have been placed on the pyramids on A site to aid in callouts.

Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 Launch Bundle - Imperium

Initially revealed by a Valorant Turkish account and subsequently corroborated by ValorantLeaksEN and ValorantUpdated, the forthcoming Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 bundle, speculated to be called Imperium, boasts a Water Dragon theme, predominantly characterized by a rich dark green palette.

The bundle draws inspiration from established skin lines, with emerald green hues complemented by subtle touches of gold, reminiscent of the Serenity skin line. While the melee weapon design aligns with previous designs, the consistent color scheme ties the weapons together cohesively. The weapons featured in the Valorant Imperium bundle include:

  • Judge
  • Vandal
  • Sheriff
  • Operator
  • Melee
