Battlefield 2042 Release Date

Battlefield has officially announced that the Battlefield 2042 release date has been delayed, and now the 19th of November 2021 is the official Battlefield 2042 release date.

Developers revealed that due to "unforeseen challenges", they had decided to push back the game’s release by a month.

The developer team said, "Building the next generation of Battlefield during a global pandemic has created unforeseen challenges for our development teams. Given the scale and scope of the game, we had hoped our teams would be back in our studios together as we move towards launch."

They added, "With the ongoing conditions not allowing that to happen safely, and with all the hard work the teams are doing from home, we feel it is important to take the extra time to deliver on the vision of Battlefield 2042 for our players. Your enthusiasm for the game has been very inspiring. We believe in the game we’re making, and we thank you for your patience as we put some finishing touches into the experience."

DICE revealed that further updates on the Battlefield 2042 open beta will be shared later this month.

Battlefield 2042 Beta Release Date

Recently, after the official declaration of the delayed Battlefield 2042 release date, Jeff Grubb has commented about the Battlefield 2042 beta, claiming that the Battlefield 2042 beta release date will likewise get delayed.

Grubb says, "I've heard that the September 22 beta may also get delayed, but EA did not confirm that. Just said, 'updates on the open beta will be coming later this month.'"

On the 16th of September 2021, Tom Henderson revealed the new Battlefield 2042 beta date. As per Henderson,

  • 6th of October 2021 - Battlefield 2042 early access beta date
  • 8th of October 2021 - Battlefield 2042 open beta date

Previous Rumors - Battlefield 2042 release date delayed

Recently, journalist Jeff Grubb took to his Twitter account and said that a "singular delay" for an anonymous title would be declared for the current week and after Grubb's tweet, few more leakers like Dealer and Nick Baker have been claiming that the title Grubb is alluding to is EA's Battlefield 2042.

Other than Grubb, another prominent Battlefield insider Tom Henderson has said, that sources have shown to him that the Battlefield 2042 release date will be moved back by "a few weeks" rather than months, implying fans will probably get to play Battlefield 2042 before the finish of 2021 and will not really need to delay until 2022 to get their hands on the game.

Henderson tweeted on Wednesday: "[Battlefield 2042]” to be delayed by several weeks and not months which conflicts with the other rumors, but it’s what I’ve heard. Late Nov 2021 is currently flying around."

Another writer, Roberto Serrano noticed that GameStop's Italian branch has changed Battlefield's release date to a nonexclusive 31st of December 2021.

In the event that another significant game was to slip from the Q4 schedule, Battlefield could be seen as a more probable competitor. With precisely a month until its official release, EA hasn't even affirmed plans for a guaranteed beta test.

The new Battlefield 2042 release date is assessed to be somewhere near late November, which would put it soon after the Call of Duty: Vanguard and just before Halo Infinite's release. However, fans should take note that no official announcement about the delayed release date has been reported at this point.

So, it's conceivable that plans could change, hence Battlefield fans should think about this data while taking other factors for the time

Currently, the Battlefield 2042 standard version is set to release on the 22nd of October 2021 and the players who decide to pre-order the Battlefield 2042 Gold Edition will get early access to the game on the 15th of October 2021.

Leakers have guaranteed September 22 as the Battlefield 2042 beta date and even Electronic Arts have recently affirmed that Battlefield 2042's open beta will release in September.

If a Battlefield 2042 release date delay declaration is coming this week, ideally, EA and DICE will share the data with fans soon so that they can change their release day plans likewise. A critical number of high-profile games have been postponed for the current year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, so fans can only hope for the best.

If the leak turns out to be true, fans will have to wait for a while to get a proper look at the game. Yet, for now, players should wait for EA to make the official announcement and take the rest of the information with a grain of salt.
