Horizon Forbidden West leaks have revealed a lot of data about the game before its release.

Back in September Sony announced the official Horizon Forbidden West release date - February 18, 2022, after the long postponement, which will be coming on both the PS4 and PS5 consoles.

Moreover, back on November 4, 2021, Horizon Forbidden West was rated in Korea as indicated by the Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) site. As per the given rating, the game is approved for players above the age of 18.

Other than the official data, we have had numerous leaks surrounding the release of the much-awaited Horizon Forbidden West game. One of these leaks claimed that the Horizon Forbidden West PC release could possibly happen on the 30th of September 2022.

However, now we have new leaks giving us an early insight into the game and revealing the Horizon Forbidden West disc, map, flying feature, trophies, more.

Since the Horizon Forbidden West release is coming closer, let's get to know the details that have been leaked so far.

Earlier we got a leaked video on the Horizon Forbidden West map, and now leaks have shared a vast overview of the upcoming map.

Horizon Forbidden West disc leak

It is not the first time that we have got an early leak about the upcoming game, Horizon Forbidden West. However, this time the info has not come from a leaker, instead, a Twitter user who addresses himself as a fan of the game has revealed new data about the Horizon Forbidden West disc.

@Joelthatguy got access to the game almost a week early and stated, "You can ask me any non-spoiler questions and I’ll try my best to share my impressions. I’m around 12 hours into the game."

Note: For those who wish to ignore any kind of a spoiler, refrain from reading the Twitter thread.

In the Twitter thread, they revealed:

  • Horizon Forbidden West feels more similar t the original game.
  • 30fps looks choppy even with a pre-launch update as compared to 60fps
  • It also just feels much more like an “RPG”
  • The dialogue scenes are long and deep. The world, in general, is far more interesting, especially the side missions.
  • 5 hours into a settlement and the world opens up after that.
  • The “settlements” are a lot denser and more populated. Reminds me of the Witcher hubs.
  • Many secrets and a bunch of rewards for the side missions. The side missions really do feel like main missions and are much more engaging.
  • 10 hours in with the skills trees higher. Melee has definitely Improved. Weapons have their own “specials” now that you can charge up and apply.
  • Multiple side quests in one settlement. The crafting section, cooking section and there’s a board game to play now.
  • 2 hours till title card. The prologue is that long.
  • The story so far narrated by a returning special character
  • The mechanics/ are extremely in-depth for a WRPG. In terms of NPCs, it is not like red dead you can interact with everyone or Witcher. But the people you can speak to, you can have some decent lengthy conversations with them so that’s great!
  • Plot-wise it literally continues where the first left off. People definitely need to of played the first game to really understand anything going on.

Horizon Forbidden West Map leak

Other than the disc leak, we also got new data on the Horizon Forbidden West map.

Earlier, during an interview on Horizon Forbidden West, one of the story writers stated that the upcoming map is slightly bigger than the first game w/o DLC. However, by the looks of it, the Horizon Forbidden West map seems quite gigantic.

A Twitter user, @InfoPlayStation shared a video of Horizon Forbidden West map stating, "A video of HorizonForbiddenWest in which we can see the full size of the map."

Reacting to the video leak, fans had different kinds of reactions, with one stating, "I've been replaying the original to get ready for the sequel, and that looks triple the size even if you include the DLC area!"

Those ignoring the spoiler, the Horizon Forbidden West map leak doesn't contain any such spoilers as it's all unexplored and covered in a fog of war, just the contour of it is enormous.

Horizon Forbidden West Flying leak

Adding to the list of leaks, @InfoPlayStation also revealed a spoiler of a highly sought-after feature in the game, Horizon Forbidden West Flying mechanics.

In the leaked image, fans can see Aloy riding on a Sunwing along the Pacific Coast. Fans are quite excited for the launch as in the past we had the feature of Fast travel, but with the upcoming game, devs have planned the flying feature.

Horizon Forbidden West Trophy List leak

Since we have mentioned the flying feature, we also have a leak about the Horizon Forbidden West Trophy List mentioning the "Completed 2 Flying Mount Quests trophy"

The leaked Horizon Forbidden West Trophies came from a website, powerpyx, where a total of 59 Trophies were mentioned, including 1 Platinum, 1 Gold, 7 Silver, 50 Bronze.

A few of the trophies mentioned in the Horizon Forbidden West trophy list include:

  • Complete a Long Glide trophy - Glided uninterrupted for 60 seconds.
  • Completed 2 Flying Mount Quests trophy - Completed 2 quests that required a flying mount.
  • Won 2 Gauntlet Runs trophy - Won first place in two different Gauntlet Runs.
  • Completed a Set of Salvage Contracts trophy - Completed all contracts at a Salvage Contractor.
  • Completed 4 Rebel Outposts trophy - Defeat the outpost leader and recovered the tags from 4 Rebel Outposts.
  • Completed 3 Relic Ruins trophy - Discovered and completed 3 Relic Ruins.
  • Completed Arena Challenge Set trophy - Completed 1 Arena challenge set.

Horizon Forbidden West PS4 Build and menu screen

Other than today's leaks, we had another leak on January 11, where a Twitter user shared a few images of the early Horizon Forbidden West build from PS4.

Moreover, on Feb 9, a new video leak gave us a glimpse of what the Horizon Forbidden West home screen will look like, and we even get to hear some of the ambient music.

Currently, the sequel of 2017's Horizon: Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West PS4 and PS5 versions are scheduled to release on February 18, and we are hopeful that this new Horizon game will be as successful as its prequel.
