On Sunday's episode of 'Pokemon Presents,' fans of the long-running monster-catching genre were treated to a slew of important announcements as the franchise celebrated its twenty-sixth anniversary.
Along with announcements like Pokemon's ninth-generation games in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and the highly-anticipated Pokemon Legends: Arceus Daybreak update, there were also reveals on Pokemon Unite, Pokemon Masters EX, and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.
The announcement also included the next season of Pokemon, where it was revealed that players will get the Pokemon Go Season of Alola.
Niantic and The Pokemon Company have progressively added new species to Pokemon GO since its premiere in 2016, and at the event, Niantic officially revealed that additional Alolan Pokemon will be arriving at Pokemon Go with the next Season of Alola event.
Earlier, when the August 2021 Ultra Unlock event skipped the Sun & Moon era and added the Gen 8 Pokedex to Pokemon Go, people were upset, however, now it seems like Alola fans will be in for a treat.

The Season of Alola is almost here in Pokémon Go, and with the update, players will be able to meet new Pokémon from the Alola area of Sun and Moon. Players will be able to accomplish numerous challenges to obtain rewards throughout the event, in addition to meeting new people from all over the world.
For all players, the Alola Season will begin on March 1 at 10 a.m. local time. It will last for three months, ending on June 1, 2022.
