The traveler might have a chance to contact Scara before the Riot. I think that the first meeting is in 3.1 when Traveler swaps his soul with Nahida.
Nahida might be imprisoned by Azar - the Grand Sage who knows how to open the special "Prison." 4 of the 6 Sages participate and collaborate with Dottore.
Al-Haitham plays a crucial role in the Riot. He creates the scheme, which works to capture almost Sumeru guards.
The traveler might be busted during the infiltration of Akademiya and imprisoned before the Riot. And Dehya will be our Savior after that.
