Genshin Impact Dehya

Genshin Impact Dehya is a well-known warrior in the mercenary world, brave without being rash and powerful without being haughty. Dehya is far from the normal arrogant and uneducated martial artist due to her life in the harsh desert environment and her many battles with other fighters.

It was claimed by the leaker that players will get to see Dehya in the future 3.5 update, and indeed they were on point.

Genshin Impact Dehya official release

Dehya's official artwork was shared back on January 16 by the devs. And it shows her with a maroon and brown shade of hair as revealed by the model leaks and a lot of details regarding Dehya's kit are likewise revealed.

A song sung by the members of "Blazing Beasts" around the campfire about Dehya says, "Sing a song, sing along, take your sitar, let's sing all day long. Sing my sword, sing my bow, sing my tattered ban-dan-oh. Fear no one, fear no lad, only fear if Dehya is mad. We love Dehya, she's beautiful and strong. Oh, our precious Dehya, we'll never do you wrong."

As per the given description, "Dehya is more than willing to take up her sword to defend those who hire her, as long as the pay is good and the commission reasonable."

"The Eremites," a loosely-organized mercenary organization, is Sumeru's most powerful armed force. They consist of many mercenaries and bands of warriors-for-hire who carry out assignments independently.

One such brigade is the "Blazing Beasts," whose most renowned member is Dehya, also known as the "Flame-Mane."

A highly regarded warrior among the mercenary circles, Dehya is brave without being impulsive, and strong without being arrogant. Life in the harsh desert environment has allowed Dehya to accumulate much combat wisdom through various battles, and she is by no means your typical insolent and ignorant martial artist.

As long as the pay is good and the commission reasonable, Dehya is more than willing to take up her sword to defend those who hire her.

However, there is one thing these employers should be aware of. That is, the agreement they establish with Dehya is only temporary and purely transactional. The reins to tame this lioness is never, and will never be in their hands.

Although mercenaries sell their strength to make a living, their dignity and lives belong only to themselves.

The desert lioness is no one's slave, and her sword only follows her heart.

Now that we are done, with Dehya's introduction, let's have a look at her voice actors.

Genshin Impact Dehya Voice Actor

While discussing Dehya's voice actors, previous leaks suggested that one of her VA will be a familiar voice from Honkai Impact. However, we now have the official announcement on Dehya's VAs.

  • English VA - Amber May
  • Japanese VA - FUKUHARA Ayaka

With roles in games like Sakura Wars, Nier Replication, and Granblue Fantasy, Japanese voice actor Dehya has a plethora of expertise portraying characters in the video game business. She portrayed Taro Misaki and Yukino Tachibana, respectively, in the anime series Captain Tsubasa and Extreme Hearts, which you may be familiar with if you are familiar with Japanese animation.

Amber May, who has already voiced other characters in the game, such as Xiza and Camille, is Dehya's English voice actor in Genshin Impact. Aside from Genshin Impact, May has been in a number of movies and TV shows, including Barbie Big City, Big Dream and Joe in Lupin the Third: Part VI.

Genshin Impact Dehya Banner

Well if you are eagerly waiting to get your hands on Dehya, you don’t have to wait for long as Phase 1 will begin on March 1st.

As revealed by leaks and devs, the 3.5 Dehya banner will show up on the 1st of March 2023 and will be replaced by a new Genshin 3.5 banner on the 2nd of March, however, the exact timing of when the banner will be available remains to be seen.

But with the previous patterns, we can make an educated guess that the Genshin 3.5 Dehya banner will go live at 18:00 PM (UTC +8) on March 1st and will end on March 22nd at 15:00 PM (UTC +8).

It indeed is good news for those who were awaiting Dehya's release as March 1st is not far away. The number of Primogems required to obtain Genshin Dehya is determined by the player's pity level and the last 5-star character obtained.

A player will need 28,800 Primogems in their account to be confident of obtaining Dehya, which translates to 180 wishes, which is sufficient to get Dehya. If a player's most recent 5-star character was a non-featured character, then they will only need 14,400 Primogems to achieve the highest 90 wishes.

Soft pity is also important because a player would need fewer Primogems to buy the Dehya banner if they get closer to 90. It is important for players to monitor their pity count to ensure they receive Dehya. It is suggested that a player at least has 12,000 Primogems as Soft pity begins around 75 wishes.

Genshin Impact Dehya abilities

Now, let's get to the main part that has created all the excitement among the gamers for Dehya.

As per the official info, Dehya is a Pyro character who can create conditions for Pyro Elemental Reactions and deals damage even when she is off the field.

Breaking the complete Dehya kit, we have the following abilities:

Genshin Impact Dehya Normal Attack: Sandstorm Assault

  • Normal Attack - Performs up to 4 consecutive strikes using her Claymore and her martial arts.
  • Charged Attack - Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to perform continuous slashes. At the end of the sequence, performs a more powerful slash.
  • Plunging Attack - Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Genshin Impact Dehya Elemental Skill - Molten Inferno

Dehya's Elemental Skill is the art of Dehya's own invention that changes its method of use depending on the combat situation.

Indomitable Flame - This skill will be unleashed should there be no Fiery Sanctum created by Dehya herself present at the time. Deals AoE Pyro DMG, and creates a field known as Fiery Sanctum.

Ranging Flame

This skill will be unleashed should a Fiery Sanctum field created by Dehya herself already exist. Dehya will perform a leaping attack, dealing AoE Pyro DMG before recreating a Fiery Sanctum field at her new position. A Fiery Sanctum field created this way will inherit the original duration of the previous field. Only 1 Ranging Flame can be used throughout a single Fiery Sanctum field's duration.

Fiery Sanctum

When an opponent within a Fiery Sanctum field takes DMG, the field will unleash a coordinated attack, dealing AoE Pyro DMG to them based on Dehya's ATK and Max DMG. This effect can be triggered once every 2.5s. Active characters within this field have their resistance to interruption increased, and when such characters take DMG, a portion of that damage will be mitigated and flow into Redmane's Blood.

Dehya will then take this DMG over 10s. When the mitigated DMG stored by Redmane's Blood reaches or goes over a certain percentage of Dehya's Max HP, she will stop mitigating DMG in this way. Only 1 Fiery Sanctum created by Dehya herself can exist at the same time.

Walk this fiery ordeal with me, purging all impurity, just as a beast of flame must descend ablaze.

Genshin Impact Dehya Elemental Burst - Lionine Bite

Dehya's elemental burst unleashes her burning anger and casts her blade aside like an inconvenience, and Dehya enters the Blazing Lioness state and gains resistance to interruption. In this state, Dehya will automatically and continuously unleash the Flame-Mane's Fists, dealing Pyro DMG based on her ATK and Max DMG, and when its duration ends, she will unleash an Incineration Drive, dealing AoE Pyro DMG based on her ATK and Max DMG.

If a Fiery Sanctum field created by Dehya's own Elemental Skill, Molten Inferno, exists when this ability is unleashed, Dehya will retrieve it, and then create another field once Blazing Lioness' duration expires. This field will then take on the retrieved field's duration at the moment of its retrieval.

Roaring Barrage

Unleashing Roaring Barrage within 0.4 after each Flame-Mane's Fist strike will increase the speed of the next Flame-Mane's Fist strike will be triggered.

Even the flowing flames must obey her rage and at her command become her fangs and claws.
