Riot Games eventually revealed earlier in 2023 that the Mythic content upgrade will be released in Season 12 after a significant delay. Instead of coming online all at once, it will be released in three phases over the course of the year.
Both Gemstones and Prestige Points will be retired in the first phase and combined into a new currency called Mythic Essence. In addition, the Mythic Shop and existing Prestige skins will be updated to reflect the new currency.
Riot also announced discontinuing the Hextech theme and replacing it with new seasonal themes for Mythic Essence-only skins. The first Mythic theme for 2022 is League of Legends Ashen Knights skins, which featured Pyke for the first phase, Pantheon for the second, Sylas for the third, and Mordekaiser in the fourth one.
The Ashen Knight skins are the new Hextech skins, however, they are far superior in every way. Now, leaks have revealed the new LoL Ashen Guardian skin for the next Ashen Knight skin line champion, who appears to be League of Legends Ashen Guardian Shen skin.

The new Ashen Guardian Shen resembles the earlier Ashen Knight skins in appearance. However, Ashen Guardian Shen will be the final Ashen Knight epic skin, according to the executive producer of League of Legends. As per the assumptions made till now, the LoL Ashen Guardian Shen skin will be available in League of Legends patch 13.6, which will be released on Wednesday, March 22, as part of the Mythic content update.

The LoL Ashen Guardian Shen is a Mythic Essence-exclusive skin, which means players can only get it by spending Mythic Essence (ME). As per rumors, the Ashen Guardian Shen skin will cost 100 ME when it is released.
The League of Legends Ashen Guardian Shen skin is expected to be available for a period of three months, hence if you desire the skin, attempt to grab it before the deadline because no one knows when it will be unvaulted again.
