Dragon’s Dogma 2 is all set to release on March 22, and with the launch imminent, early reviews are already indicating a significant improvement over its predecessor, which is an appealing aspect for fans of the first title. And as the release date draws near, you would certainly want to know the Dragon’s Dogma 2 system requirements on the PC to run the game smoothly. Hence, below, we've outlined Dragon’s Dogma 2 system specifications 2 and provided an overview of what you need to run the game.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 System Requirements

Players will have plenty of time to get their systems ready for Dragon's Dogma 2's release since Capcom has already disclosed the game's system requirements.

The suggested Dragon’s Dogma 2 System specs leave a big gap in between since the projected performance is 2160p, 30FPS, while the minimum system requirements seem excessive for only 1080p, 30FPS.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 System Requirements: Minimum

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)/Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 10600 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600

  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8GB VRAM
  • DirectX: Version 12

Dragon’s Dogma 2 System Requirements: Recommended

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-10700 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 / AMD Radeon RX 6700
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Additional Notes: Estimated performance: 2160i/30fps. Framerate might drop in graphics-intensive scenes. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800 is required to support ray tracing.

These are the Dragon’s Dogma 2 System specifications that are essential for experiencing the game as intended.

Despite reports that the game has "unlocked 30 FPS" on consoles, it appears that the game lacks performance. You can obviously get far higher performance on a PC, but based on the official Dragon’s Dogma 2 System Requirements, it looks like many gamers wouldn't be able to. However, while the requirements may seem demanding, they shouldn't pose significant issues for the majority of players, aside from potential early bugs.

Apart from this, Capcom informed IGN this week that some of the Dragon's Dogma 2's PC performance problems might be related to the high CPU demands made on the game's NPCs. The creator claims that "a large amount of CPU usage is allocated to each character and dynamically calculates the impact of their physical presence in various environments." It says that as a result, when many characters are present at once, CPU use "can be very high," which could affect the framerate.

Well, with the game being released tomorrow, it's only a matter of time before the players give their reviews and reveal whether the game is actually playable or not.
