Genshin Impact 2.6 Ruin Serpent enemy

In Genshin Impact, Ruin opponents have grown fairly common. Players must be prepared to face a variety of Ruin Guards, as well as Ruin Hunters and Sentinels, in the open environment.

Genshin Ruin Serpent, on the other hand, isn't simply another Ruin foe. According to the most recent reports, it is enormous in size, far greater than a typical Ruin Guard/Hunter. So, let's head over to the leaked details one by one.

Genshin Impact Ruin Serpent description

Recently, a prominent Genshin leaker, @BLANK shared new details on the Ruin Serpent enemy. In the latest post, the leaker shared the Genshin Ruin Serpent description and location image.

The leak description reads:

"A bizarrely-shaped machine that prowls the underground areas of The Chasm. It has a formidable gear in front of it that can carve through rock as if it were butter. It was by this power that it was able to dig a tunnel to The Chasm from "somewhere"."

However, this is not the only description we got, as the past leaks on the WFP discord channel stated that the Ruin Serpent is:

"An ancient, aberrant ruin device. Legends say that it is heavy machinery used for engineering purposes, left behind by the destroyed nation. The gear-shaped structure of the 'head' is able to excavate the hardest layers of rock with ease. If this really was the case, borrowing its powers, the great army would have been able to traverse the continent easily via various hidden underground paths."

The Ruin Serpent in Genshin 2.6 is a Normal Boss, and the 2.5 Livestream has already revealed a few things about it, including its rewards. It has been leaked that Ruin Serpents will drop Prithiva Topaz Ascension Materials as well as a new item called "Runic Fang" at level 30+.

NOTE: Leaker also revealed the description of Runic Fang:-

"A fang with which the mysterious, snakelike machine of old dug into mountains' depths. There are many ominous runes carved on it. It is said that giant serpents lurk in the dark fissures deep beneath the ground. Burning with eternal resentment and malice toward the world above, they throw themselves into digging great tunnels, yet none know what their malicious purposes are..."

To sum it up, Genshin Impact Ruin Serpent is among the game's most intricate bosses. It won't come as a surprise if there are certain difficult mechanics that gamers must memorize while facing it.

Coming to Ruin Serpent location in the game, leaks have also detailed the same.

Genshin Impact Ruin Serpent location

In patch 2.6, the Chasm region will contain many Teleport Waypoints and Statues of Seven as revealed by the leaks. And again thanks to these leaks, we also know the exact Ruin Serpent location.

Recent leaks only shared the image of the Ruin Serpent location, however past leaks detailed that the new boss, Ruin Serpent will be present in a dungeon located on the northwestern end.

The Ruin Serpent is a mechanical snake-like beast that dwells within the depths of The Chasm, according to the live feed and released material. It's unclear whether it's to blame for the Underground Mines' idleness, but this boss should give you the creeps.

Genshin Impact Ruin Serpent model

The Ruin Serpent in-game model was revealed via a recent leak on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit.

The Ruin Serpent, based on what can be seen in the image, will be a totally new Genshin Impact world boss, which is unique for the Automaton enemy type. The upcoming Ruin Serpent boss is a complicated metal, stone, and wood machine. All of the parts of Ruin Serpent were exposed by the model sheets shown during the 2.5 Livestream.

Just by looking at the size of the new Genshin boss, it seems like players will really have a hard time during their combats and it probably justifies why Ei specifically said she doesn't want to be ruined by this snake.

The name of the monster in the photograph is still a guess, but Genshin Impact fans have already started dubbing it Onix because it looks a lot like the popular Pokémon.

Genshin Impact Ruin Serpent combat skills

We likewise have a leak on the possible Ruin Serpent abilities which basically says it will generate a "silt gully" during the battle, and in some states, it will try to suck energy from it to launch strong destructive attacks.

Using the "lumenstone catalyst's" light bloom to destroy the silt gully that supplied energy to the ruins serpent can break this state and disable the energy core spread throughout the body. The ruin serpent will get weakened if all four energy cores are disabled.

Moreover, when engaged in combat, the Ruin Serpent moves across the AoE often, employing a sandstorm-like ability to entice you towards the mechanical boss, according to reputable source BLANK. Then it will begin to form a massive orb that will explode in a short period of time, dealing AoE DMG to nearby characters.

The Ruin Serpent can either make or attack you with a slimy purple fluid that causes corrosive DMG in addition to physical DMG.

While its origins are unclear for the time being, the Ruin Serpent's sheer size will make it one of Genshin Impact's largest enemy bosses. As a result, you'll need to tread carefully through The Chasm, as its attacks may be too much for you to handle.

As per leaks, it seems like players will have to complete a World Quest known as "Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering" to encounter this new Ruin Serpent monster.

Unfortunately, no information about the gameplay of the Ruin Serpent or Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering quest was disclosed in the recent Genshin Impact 2.6 leaks.

New monsters to defeat are a common feature of new version updates in the game, and Genshin Impact 2.6 is no exception. It is expected that HoYoverse will add two new enemies in Genshin Impact 2.6 update other than Ruin Serpent.

As per the leaked data, these 3 new Genshin 2.6 enemies are:

  • Black Serpent Knight: Windcutter
  • Ruin Serpent
  • Floating Moldbeast

With all the enemy lineup it seems like players will need to grind a lot to complete their missions and quest, and especially the entire 2.6 patch will be quite hard for the players to clear. So we wish all the players the best of luck.

However, the data has come from the leaks that are subjected to change, so players should wait for the official confirmation from HoYoverse as they can at any time decide to make changes in the main game.
